[There's a spell for that where she's from, but she doesn't know it.]

What do you mean, you don't have much raw power?

It I want to do anything big, I need someone to lend me their strength. Cal and I did bring part of a building down once.

Really? Huh.

[She hasn't had much of a chance to talk to anyone about their magic, minus Lup, and Lup's magic is almost the same as Kyna's. This is all new to her.]

So what's the biggest thing you can move by yourself?

[pellameno]

[ Her pain is fading now, down to a dull ache when she breathes in. He thinks he might be able to manage this in one session, though, so he keeps going.

If nothing else he'll certainly sleep well tonight. ]

I've never really tested it like that, I don't know.

[evocation]

[She grins at him, partially because the pain is fading and partially because of his answer.]

What? We should totally test it.

[pellameno]

[ He grins back a little, curious now himself -- he's mostly only used it to keep monsters at bay. ]

Did you have something heavy in mind?

[evocation]

Uh... No.

[As usual, she didn't really plan ahead, but then she smiles again.]

You can start with Wash.

Hey, are you calling me fat?

[pellameno]

[ Pell laughs a little -- that'd be way too easy, for one thing, and for another he doesn't want to wind up having to heal the man. ]

I think I can handle more than him.

[ He shifts his hands, pressing down on her ribs and sensing for areas that might need more strengthening. Just about done, now. ]

How's that feeling?

[evocation]

[She grins at him.]

Muscle weighs more than fat. I'm calling you buff.

[Sorry, Pell. Kyna turns her attention back to him, though.]

Better. It doesn't really hurt anymore.

You'll still be weak for awhile, and they might still ache, but I can come back and get them to full strength with another session. The faster the better, with everything going on.

Yeah, sure.

[But really, she thinks she's fine.]

Thanks for healing me. It was pretty awesome.

[pellameno]

It's definitely my most impressive ability.

[ He passes her shirt over and stands up, glancing at Wash. ]

Make sure she takes it easy.

[Kyna pulls the shirt back on, and this time, nothing hurts. It's pretty awesome.]

Trust me, he's probably not even going to let me tie my own shoes.

[She's kidding. Wash isn't that bad.]

[hardwearing]

[ Wash watches Kyna dress, approving of the way she doesn't wince this time. How she's sitting up and doesn't seem to be in any pain. ]

I think you can take over that duty again.

[She shoots a smile at Pell.]

Yeah, thanks. That was awesome.

[hardwearing]

I'll walk you out.

[ He does just that, thanking the healer again before returning to Kyna in the bedroom. His whole manner is different now that she's healed -- shoulders looser, some of the tension gone from his face. ]

Ready to take on the world again?

Have you met me?

[Even if Kyna isn't always great at reading people, his relief is blatantly obvious. She didn't realize just how stressed out he really was until this moment.]

Does this mean I can't trick you into spoiling me anymore?

[hardwearing]

That depends on what kind of spoiling you want.

[ No it doesn't. He'll do anything. ]

There are rules now? Lame.

[She reaches for him, looping her arms around his waist and settling her head against his chest.]

So I can't ask you to, like... slay a dragon for me or something?

[hardwearing]

[ His arms come up around her easily, one hand burying itself into her hair. It's nice to not have to treat her like she's glass. ]

What did the dragon ever do to you?

[evocation]

[Kyna lets out a quiet, contented sigh, smoothing a hand down his spine.]

Dragons suck. Do you want a list?

[hardwearing]

No, I believe you. But it'd probably just eat me, I don't know how to slay a dragon.

[evocation]

You want to know a secret? We don't know how to do half the shit we get paid to do.
