The whole thing was pretty fucked up, yeah, but I don't blame them for thinking it was me. They had reason, and they figured out who the real murderer was less than a day later anyway.
[So it's not like he was dealing with the whole thing very long, and as stressful as it was at the time it's kind of amusing looking back, at least as far as that part of things goes. The rest of it, such as who the real killer was, was not at all amusing.]
There was a limited suspect pool, because due to a particular event that occurred it could only be one of a few people who were in the right place at the right time, and we all knew each other. I was the newest person in the group, so it was easier for them if it were me than someone else, and I did fit the profile well enough.

I also sarcastically confessed, because I was angry they suspected me.
[Which was not exactly the most intelligent thing ever.]
I probably should've been, but the people accusing me were Dr. Brennan and my co-worker, who is now her husband, Agent Booth; we weren't as good of friends as were are now, but we were still friends.
[So he'd been kind of... Upset, about the whole thing.]
And I was also really young still, so I'm just going to blame it mostly on that.
