[Kyna doesn't bother messaging back, just heads out. She claims a table and orders... something. Something mysterious, because why the hell not. It doesn't taste like turpentine, and she counts herself lucky.]
[As promised, Lup arrives a few minutes after her thirty minute estimate, dressed in one of her brother's favorite skirts, her hair pulled off to the side in a long, artfully done mermaid braid. Considering her distress the last time they ran into each other, it's clear the weight of those crummy mirrors from weeks ago has long since faded and Lup is back to her normal self. Maybe a little better. Hadriel may suck, but there's been a few nice surprises along the way in the last few weeks.
It's a small victory, but she'll take it.
Lup gracefully plops into the seat across from Kyna, shooting her a grin.] Sup, homie. I see you ordered without me. Glad to know we don't have to bully anyone for a drink.
[She's just raising her hand to wave over a server when Kyna lays that down on her. The high elf turns her curling grin on the younger woman.] Uh, I think you mean a seventeen, right? That's pretty ush for me.
Something like that. [The waitstaff pops over to drop Lup's drink off before scurrying away, the Lup reclining back in her chair.]
He's my twin so he's still scores about everyone else, but he's absolutely an asshole. [He's her asshole though. Lup wouldn't trade him in for anything.]
[It's not a very good answer, but Lup shrugs, hands curling around her drink.] Honestly? I don't know what it's like not having a twin, so it's a hard comparison to make.
He's my best friend. He's like this piece... [It's too difficult to put into words. He's himself, he isn't her, but him being himself makes her more fully her. They aren't two halves of the same whole, more like complimentary pieces to one another. This is getting too close to sappy and sentimental for Lup's taste.] I always know what he's thinking before he even says it. It's pretty rad.
Oh yeah? He here too? [It pops out of Lup's mouth before she can even consider the alternative. Naturally, if Kyna's answer is no, she's going to feel pretty bad.]
Ooooh, [Lup hums before pausing to take a sip from her drink, enjoying that the pleasant burn that came with it.] One of those types, huh? What's he like? What's he do? Is he a wizard too?
[She draws out the syllable, then takes another drink. Those are a lot of questions.]
