Okay.

[Kyna hasn't really considered how quickly they've gotten close, largely because it's a little overwhelming for her, too. She likes being around him, though. He's intense, but he's steady, and a hell of a lot less impulsive than she is. There's something comforting in that, and something even more comforting in how much he's opened up to her. She's not sure if he does that with everyone, but it's still nice. She doesn't know how to tell him any of that, though, or if she even should, so she goes with something a little simpler.]

I like hanging out with you. I don't want to make it... weird or anything. [There's a slight pause.] It's not, right?

[hardwearing]

[ He most certainly does not open up to everyone. Not like this. ]

So do I. It hasn't been weird... just because I don't start things doesn't mean I don't want them to happen. [ He sets down another piece of armor on the dresser and glances at Kyna. ] Should I?

[evocation]

[A part of her thinks this might be a weird conversation to have with a friend that you happen to be sleeping with, but she shoves that aside. Whatever.]

Uh, yeah. I mean, you don't have to worry about offending me or something.

[Plus, it would be kind of nice.]

[hardwearing]

...okay.

[ No better time to start than right now, right? He sets down the last of his armor and turns to Kyna, reaching for her hand. ]

[Kyna grins at him, lacing her fingers through his.]

Maybe I'm a little offended.

[hardwearing]

[ Oh? And how offended will she be if he uses that hand to pull her in and wrap his other arm around her? ]

[evocation]

[Enough to reach up with her free hand and trail her fingertips along his jawline, her head tilting.]

Less offended.

[hardwearing]

[ Well that's always a good sign. And Wash might not be great at reading people but he's pretty sure that head tilt is an invitation. He leans down to kiss her, slow and thorough. ]

How are your ribs?

[evocation]

[He's reading her just fine so far, but the soft, pleased noise she makes as she kisses him back should cinch it. She's a little breathless when she responds.]

Fine. All good.

[hardwearing]

[ In that case. Wash takes a step back towards the bed, sitting down on it and pulling Kyna with him, into his lap. It makes the height difference less awkward and he kisses her again with a bit more heat, reclaiming his hand to slip both under the edge of her shirt. Warm fingers teasing soft skin. ]

[Kyna shivers in response, heart skipping a beat, which she ignores. Yeah, she's definitely a fan of this. She shifts her weight to straddle him, free hand slipping to the back of his head to pull him closer. She may have lied just a little--her ribs are still a hair sore, but she really doesn't want him treating her like she's made of glass, and he sort of does that already.]

[hardwearing]

[ She's tiny and delicate okay, he's not used to it. If she wants him to be rougher, though, he'd be happy to oblige, she just just needs to speak up.

When the kiss breaks he drags his mouth down to her neck, sucking at her pulse point as he caresses her sides, her back. Touching places that have been off limits since she got hurt. Just... touching. Still such a novelty. ]

This what you had in mind?

[Kyna's eyes flutter closed again as he works his way down her neck, her breathing getting shivery.]

Definitely. Good job.

[Touching has never been a novelty to her, but touching him is a different story. Not for the first time, she wonders who designed these survival suits and how the hell she can thank them, because it's so easy to slide her hands over his shoulders and down his arms, memorizing each contour.]

Thank God for healing magic.

[hardwearing]

[ He laughs softly into the crook of her neck, the sound turning into a pleased him as she trails her hands down his arms. He's ready for there to be a lot less clothes between them, honestly, but he's also patient. Not in any rush. His hands emerge from beneath her shirt to grip her hips and pull her in closer, flush against him.

The suit hides absolutely nothing. ]

[Seriously, whoever made these things is her hero. Kyna rocks her hips forward, hands gripping his wrists for a moment to steady herself. She's torn between the need to get her stupid shorts off and the need to be as close to him as possible, so she compromises, reaching up to unzip the front of the suit.]

Hey, you don't have to treat me like I'm going to break all the time. Be rough if you want.

[hardwearing]

[ Wash lifts his head, considering that. Considering her. His idea of rough might be a bit much, but if she wants more then she can have it. He smiles and stands up, holding her in his arms... and turns to toss her onto the bed.

Then she gets to watch him peel the suit off. ]

[evocation]

[She isn't expecting it, and she laughs as she hits the mattress, but that quickly dies down when he starts to pull off his suit. This is about the time that she should be taking her own clothes off, but she doesn't. Instead, she settles in to watch him, her smile almost self-satisfied as her eyes roam over him. She's never, ever going to be subtle about checking him out.]

I get a show, too?

If this counts?

[ He's not terribly seductive about it, not knowing how to be, but he does slow down so there's something to watch. Letting the suit hang around his waist as he gets his boots off, then stepping out of it one leg at a time.

Instead of crawling right back on top of her, though, he just stands there eyeing her. Your turn, Kyna. ]

[It definitely counts. What a tease, though. Kyna tilts her head, then hooks her fingers under the hem of her shirt. She pulls it up and off slowly, movements languid as she arches her back. The shirt gets tossed to the side, but that's all he gets, at least for now.]

[hardwearing]

[ And he's the tease? His mouth quirks a little, though, and he does climb back on top of her then, gaze raking over her appreciatively. ]

You're gorgeous.

[ It's the first time he's really felt bold enough to comment on that, though his opinion should have been obvious enough already. ]

[evocation]

[Obvious, sure. He wouldn't be sleeping with her if he didn't find her attractive, but hearing him say it is different, and her smile softens as she looks up at him, hand cupping his cheek and thumb skimming over the freckles dusting his skin.]

You're sweet.

[It comes out automatically, and she immediately wonders if that sounded absolutely stupid.]

[ ... he'll take it, though he does duck his head into her hand a little, blushing.

His weight settles on her and he leans down to kiss her again, and in the spirit of not treating her like glass his hand slides under her ass, gripping it firmly and tilting her hips up. ]

[evocation]

[She's about to say something else, something to fluster him even more when he kisses her and she kisses him back, much more heated this time. Their hips meet and she arches her back again to press herself flush against him, her hand slipping back to grip his hair tightly. Sometimes she's in the mood for gentle, but right now this is exactly what she needs.]

[hardwearing]

[ He definitely likes that grip on his hair, and the way her body arches up to meet his. It's eager and urgent and he really should have been doing this sooner, if she likes him taking the lead. When this kiss breaks he shifts lower, dragging his mouth down her neck again but adding sharp little nips after each kiss. ]

[evocation]

[Kyna shivers, gasping at his teeth against her skin, her eyes closing as she savors the sensation.]

[Her voice is a little breathless, and she shifts against him.]
