[ They'll make it work. She can lean back against him or something, drink and look up at the stars. Kyna comes back with glasses and he leans down to kiss her forehead before heading for the stairs to the roof.

It's a cool night, but not too windy even up here, so Wash spreads out the blanket easily enough. He pulls some markers out of his pocket before sitting and unrolling the paper too, then reaching up for Kyna to come sit against his chest. ]

This isn't too cheesy, is it?

[Kyna settles into his lap instantly, though she sneaks a kiss before she leans against him, grinning up at him.]

No, it's not too cheesy, but all of our stories are going to be totally stupid.

[Because... Well, Wash, do you know who your girlfriend is?]

[ He seems to relax a lot at that, wrapping one arm around her waist and grinning back. ]

It's just for fun. Hold up your glass.

[ When she does he'll pour her some wine, then lean back so she can recline a little and look up at the stars. ]

What do you see?

[Kyna takes a sip of the wine, which is surprisingly decent for Hadriel standards, and her eyebrows go up instantly at his question.]

What? Why am I starting?

[ But fine, if she wants him to go first... Wash tilts his head back, looking up at the dots in the sky to see which ones are brightest, and how he could maybe connect them. ]

Okay, those three bright ones, right here? That's the head of a bird. [ He lifts his hand from her waist, tracing down the neck and body of it, then dotting a spray of stars to its right that could be tailfeathers. ] See him?

[Kyna squints, following the line of his arm, and then laughs when she sees the cluster of stars he's talking about.]

It looks like a crooked chicken.
