[She says, teasingly, but when she steps into his bedroom, her eyes widen. It's pretty much the exact opposite of hers, which isn't a bad thing, exactly, but—]
[ The teasing doesn't disappear when she sets foot into his room, but the grin on his face turns into something a little more surprised. He glances back at her, brow wrinkling some. ]
[When she sees the shift in his expression, she loops her arm through his, leaning into him. It's an intentional use of the empathy bond, just to show him she's not judging.]
It's just... you know. Don't you want to make it more... comfy?
[She hesitates, considering.]
I mean, I guess you're used to bouncing around, right?
[So maybe that's why. It's not like he ever had a reason to hold onto things.]
[ Sam leans down enough that he can kiss the top of her head--and also slips her arm. Casually, withdrawing before he can react to her questions, and all she really gets is not-terribly-specific surprise. ]
Hey, I'm only ever in here for two reasons. [ Speaking of which, he unshades the window so the last of the day's sunlight can pour in, along with all the neon coming on for the evening. It might be bare, as rooms go, but now at least it's not the dim place they first stepped into. ] And one of 'em involves being unconscious.
[ The smile he turns on her probably gives away what the other one involves. ]
Am I supposed to believe [ plucking the flower from her hair and examining it like he's never seen it before ] I'm the first guy who's seen the inside of your room?
[She's not sure what that says, if it says anything at all. Instead of considering it, she wanders to the flowers on his bedside table, brushing her fingers against one.]
[ Now he's tempted to touch her, just to see if he can feel out how much of a lie that is--c'mon, they aren't exactly blushing virgins here--but she's moved away from him. ]
Yeah. Sucks for your secret admirer. [ The fiction of it is amusing enough to keep up, even as he's reaching for her hand to pull her in close. Whatever he felt a moment ago, now it's cheerful lust. ] Speaking of seeing you in it--
I mean, I already got a preview here--[ fingering the visible straps at her neck with his free hand, the backs of his fingers skimming between the lingerie and her skin ]--so...
You think so? [ His other hand's at the small of her back, finding its way under her tank top to the vinyl and satin underneath. ] I could let you go right now, let you find your own way outta this.
