Because I've run into someone who's been turned into a monster, but they're still aware of who they are. They're kind of at risk of getting killed by another monster or just someone thinking they need to defend themselves, and he doesn't have a place of his own, so I told him he could hide out at the apartment until we can figure out what to do.

[And he knows he should've asked first since it's also her apartment but also it's an emergency.]

I didn't want you to stop by there and find a bat monster you weren't expecting.

One of the Displaced was turned into one of the bat monsters somehow; I have no idea how. But he's still mentally himself, and needed somewhere safe to go hide for awhile.

[He's maybe leaving out some of the story but this is the important part.]

His name's Trevor Belmont; I don't know him very well but I talked to him briefly over the network a few days ago.

you don't know him well but you're going to let him monster mash in our apartment?

I wouldn't in any other situation, but I'm worried someone is going to think he's just one of the other monsters.

[And therefore defend themselves, and therefore he would end up dead permanently. Lance's conscience can't take that without at least trying to help.]

I don't think he's going to, but if he does, good news is I know what my power is and it works really well against him. Bad news is I already found that out the hard way, but I'm fine.

It's kind of lame. It was just a really high pitched noise, which happened to work great on bat monsters, but...

[Otherwise it's kind of lame. It was so high that Lance could barely even hear it, so he doesn't think it'll work on anything that doesn't have enhanced hearing.]

No, one is just being annoying, the other is being annoying as well as a bunch of other stuff.
