[Kyna takes in a shaky breath, telling herself she definitely won't cry. That probably won't last long.]

I'm better now. Are you okay?

I'm fine.

[And he is. Dying this time around wasn't so bad. The worst part was the uncertainty of when he'd come back, but that point is moot now that he's alive again.]

I'm lucky Hope came back when he did. I thought I'd be dead for weeks.

[Kyna hesitates for a second, then pulls back enough to kiss him on the cheek.]

Me too. I was really worried about Michael.

[ghostlocked]

[He lets it happen. He doesn't even flinch. With Kyna, this sort of thing is expected.]

Same here. Was he staying with you? He mentioned something about that.

Yeah. I think he felt kind of awkward about it, but I didn't want him to be alone.

[ghostlocked]

[That gets a little laugh. Of course Michael felt awkward about it. He feels awkward about everything.]

Not awkward enough to turn you down, though. That's a good sign.

[Maybe Michael did listen when Harlan told him to take care of himself in his absence. That's more than he expected, honestly.]

Thanks for looking out for him.

[He has like a thousand questions about whether or not Michael actually took care of himself, but he'll spare Kyna from that. She's not Michael's babysitter, and anyway, Michael probably did better under some supervision than he would've on his own. Plus he figures Wash was around to keep them both alive, at least.]

Um... I broke my arm? That sucked.

[He pulls back to check out her arm situation, which thankfully seems to be resolved. She must've had someone heal it for her. Good.]
