I only see scarce reference to gates in this guide I was given. And they're only mentioned obliquely in the locations you gave me. What are they? How do I find them and how do I use them to portal?
the new amsterdam gate is in the caves underneath us the other ones are all over the place one was in the pyramids outside giza, the one i went to was underneath this historical site in new oslo i have no idea what they are exactly, but basically you just have to step on a pillar and think about what city you want to go to
i don't have a list off the top of my head, but it seems like there's one in every big city nothing in north america though apparently that's a wasteland but it's weird that there aren't any in the middle of nowhere, you know? maybe something took them off the network
Understanding that history might be the key to understanding more about the blue light that's suppressing our magic. Clearly it's been involved in events spanning centuries here if we're able to affect ruins. Yet none of us have been here longer than ten months. There's something there.
Of course it'd have to be ruins, though. I knew someone once who would have delighted to dig through them. Dust and rubble. He'd laugh to see me now.
[ it's a touch sentimental, isn't it? thinking of istredd now. yennefer pushes away thoughts that this might have been what they did together, if she hadn't insisted upon going to court in aedirn. having a compellign reason to spelunk around ruins doesn't mean she'll enjoy it, doesn't mean she'd like to make a life of it. ]
That's very deterministic of you. Worthiness implies a higher power to ordain it, doesn't it? I'm more interested in who built the gates and set the traps.
if you talk to some people here, they'll say it has something to do with gods there's a cult that thinks we're god touched or something i don't know if i buy that but the tests i had to deal with in the ruins i went to were all very kumbaya
yeah, maybe i'm from a different version of earth so i already knew about some of the places these ruins were idk if all of the tests were using the same theme or what but if they were that would be weird those cultures are really different
You're familiar enough with them to make that judgment, at least. It's infuriating to be thrust into this and feel my hands are tied behind my back because I know nothing of the world's history or its people. It couldn't be further from where I came from.
Chaotic. Cold. But quieter than this one. There are more people in this city than on the whole of the Continent. The rest, though, it's the same. Some people have everything, built on the backs of others with nothing.

it's easier now
screwing around with those gates opened a ton of them so you can just teleport basically

Is there a list of the other gates your presence at these four opened? What other parts of this planet can we reach?
